Secure QR Code Generator
Create QR codes for text, URLs, or Wi-Fi securely.
How to create a QR code
- Enter the content: a web address, plain text, or any other string.
- Choose an image size and an error-correction level.
- Press Generate, scan the preview with your phone to check it, then Download it as a PNG.
Codes are drawn locally on a canvas in your browser. They are static: the content is stored in the pattern itself, so they never expire and there is no redirect service tracking who scans them.
Choosing an error-correction level
QR codes contain redundant data so they still scan when partly dirty, damaged or covered. A higher level makes the code more robust, but it holds less data and the pattern becomes denser.
| Level | Recoverable damage | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| L (Low) | ~7% | Clean screens and long content |
| M (Medium) | ~15% | General use, a good default |
| Q (Quartile) | ~25% | Printed labels that may get scuffed |
| H (High) | ~30% | Outdoor signs, or codes with a logo placed over the centre |

Printing tips
- Keep the white margin (quiet zone) around the code; don't crop it.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning; increase the size for posters viewed from a distance.
- Use dark modules on a light background and test with more than one phone before printing in bulk.
QR code safety
Criminals sometimes stick fake QR codes over real ones on parking meters or posters (“quishing”). Before you open a scanned link, check the domain your phone shows, and never enter payment or login details on a page you reached from an unfamiliar code.
